Industrial and Commercial Architecture Exteriors

This contest is for your photos of the exterior of buildings which are used for commercial or industrial purposes. Examples include factories, warehouses, shops, hotels and office blocks. You could show a close view of the industrial or commercial building, showing off the architectural details, or a wider view of the entire structure within its immediate surroundings. Make sure the architecture of the buildings is clearly visible, so please do not enter distant views of industrial or city skylines. Buildings should clearly be for industry or commerce, and be photographed from the outside. Images can be in colour or black and white.

The 2019 AIPP State Commercial Photographer of the Year

The Commercial category is intended for images that could be commissioned by a business for marketing, advertising or editorial use. This includes, but is not limited to, advertising, aerial, architecture, corporate, food, industrial, fashion and sport photography. Images will have generally been created with a specifc brief, often under the supervision of an agency or client representative. The subject matter isn’t the concern, but rather the purpose for which the photograph was created. Entries will be judged with a broad view in the context of a commercial photograph.

Food for Thought

Influenced by a previous career in graphic design, Angela Miller’s commercial photography work includes food, interiors, product and people. And a willingness to go that one step further.
‘I’m that kid who grew up with a camera in one hand and a sketchbook in the other.”
And to some extent, Angela Miller APP AAIPP still has both in her hand today!
