Meteora Monasteries
We had been doing a combination of hiking and driving to several different monasteries in Meteora. Monks climbed these precipices centuries ago to escape persecution. It was interesting and also sad to us to think that the monks felt safest on these perilous cliffs. The light was changing as the day neared its end, and I loved the atmosphere in the air.
