Interview with Birka Wiedmaier
“I often try something until I achieve what I have in mind, it is fun to experiment.”
I tried to capture the beautiful Moscow Metro in a different way. It’s a pity that I cannot convey the sounds of the Moscow Metro in my images, because that also inspired me a lot. There are so many interesting sounds, like the incoming and leaving trains, the muffled steps of passersby and their quiet conversations, the announcements of the trains. I could not capture all of this in a single image and so I started to experiment with double exposures in an at-tempt to capture the true essence of the Moscow Metro.
